OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University head softball coach TJ Hubbard announced on Monday that former BYU pitching ace McKenna Bull will join his coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season.

"We are excited to announce the addition of McKenna to our coaching staff. She has established herself as a proven winner at the highest levels of college softball," Hubbard said. "Her passion for the game, determined work ethic and intense competitiveness will certainly elevate our pitchers and this program to new levels."

"I am very excited to be coaching at UVU. It is such an amazing program and I feel very lucky to be a part of it," said Bull. "I hope to be able to bring a significant amount of pitching knowledge to both the players and the staff, and I'm also looking forward to learning a lot about the game as a whole."

Bull will earn her bachelor's degree in family services from BYU in December and hails from Ogden, Utah, where she was a star softball player at Weber High School.

Bull will join Krystin Jachim on Hubbard's 2017-18 staff as assistant coaches, as well as fellow coaching newcomers and former Wolverine standouts Brittney Vansway and Courtney Beavers as respective volunteer and student assistants.
