OREM, Utah -- The Utah Valley State Volleyball team opens its inaugural NCAA season Friday in the Bronco Invitational in Boise, Idaho. UVSC will face the University of Portland in its first-ever NCAA volleyball contest at 5 p.m.

The Wolverines conclude the tournament on Saturday with two more games. They play host team Boise State at 1 p.m. and Bowling Green at 5 p.m. UVSC coach Sam Atoa returns six players from last year's 26-5 squad.

Three starters, Deise Borghetti (right side), Kassidy Brotherson (middle blocker), and Aulani Rogers (setter), return to guide a young squad into NCAA Division I status. Borghetti was an All-American.
