Wolverine Update:
Utah Valley State (5-6) have won three out of its last four matches. The Wolverines welcomed in-state rival Weber State to the Activity Center for the first time, on September 27th. The Wolverines didn't make the Wildcat's first trip to Orem a pleasant one, beating WSU in four games, 27-30, 30-27, 30-25, 30-22.
In the WSU match, freshman Camie Manwill and JC transfer Brooke Adams both finished with career-high kill totals. Manwill notched 21, and Adams had 13. Lacee Koelliker tied her own school record with 65 assists, and Maegan Hoyt tallied 28 digs, just five digs shy of her school record of 33. Jessica Endres had 19 kills and hit a career-high .586.

Scouting the Opposition:
North Dakota State: NDSU enters Friday's match with an overall 1-16 record. The Bison started the season 0-14 which was the worst in school history. Hebl has 149 kills (2.81 k/g) and Lopez has notched 145 kills (2.54 k/g). Bethany Boelter, Emily Luensmann, and Sheila Parrish all share setting duties.
South Dakota State: The Jackrabbits come into Saturday's match with an 8-10 overall record, with their most recent win coming against Drake on Tuesday in four games. Last Time Out:
Weber State (9-27-05): Freshman Camie Manwill and JC transfer Brooke Adams both had career-high kills to help lead Utah Valley State past in-state rival Weber State in volleyball action, 27-30, 30-27, 30-25, 30-22, in the Activity Center. Manwill finished with 21 kills, and Adams had a solid 13 tallies. Oh and by the way, Lacee Koelliker tied a school record with 65 assists, while Maegan Hoyt on the defensive end put up a season-high 28 digs. Hoyt's dig total is ranked second in school history, four behind her own school record of 33. It was Utah Valley's first ever win over an in-state school. Jessica Endres had 19 kills and hit a career-high .586. Game one was back-and-forth most of the way until Weber took a five point lead at 18-13 to force a Wolverine timeout. Utah Valley regrouped and scored the next four points cutting the lead to one at 18-17. The Wolverines would eventually tie the set at 20-20. The Wildcats had late kills from Chelsea Bair that helped them get to 29-27, and then close the game out at 30-27. Jessica Endres had 6 kills in the game for Utah Valley. The Wolverines took advantage of six Brooke Adams kills in game two to take a late 25-22 lead. Utah Valley would finish off the Wildcats on a Manwill smash and even up the match at one game apiece winning the second set 30-27. Pivotal game three went the Wovlerines' way with two big blasts coming from Stephanie McFarland. One of them was a kill, followed by a huge block to give UV a 27-23 lead. Utah Valley would finish the game in fitting fashion on two back-to-back kills by Manwill and Endres. In game four the wind was taken out of the Wildcats early as the Wolverines set the tone scoring the first eight points. WSU could never recover cutting the Wolverine lead to four two different times, but never getting closer than that. Utah Valley raced to a 30-22 win, and secured the match.
