Utah Valley State Hosts #19 BYU Tuesday Night at 7pm

What's on Tap:
Utah Valley State will host 19th ranked BYU on Tuesday night at 7pm. It will be the fourth time ever that the neighboring schools will face one another.

Fans are invited to "Pack the Place" as discount tickets are available at Hogi Yogi and Ken Garff locations.

BYU has won the previous three meetings, twice by a sweep and once in four games. The Cougars won 30-21, 30-21, 30-17 in the last meeting on October 18, 2005.

Utah Valley is 0-4 all-time against ranked D-I opponents. In 2003 the Wolverines lost to #18 Missouri and #14 Washington. In 2004 #24 Utah defeated UV and in 2005 BYU was ranked 15th when it topped UV.

Utah Valley head coach Sam Atoa spent his college days playing for BYU from 1984 to 1988, and was named a Collegiate Club All-American. During his time there, he helped the Cougars to three National Collegiate Club Championships.

Wolverine Update:
Utah Valley State is on a current four-match win streak after sweeping its recent trip to the Lone Star State.

After squeaking out a win in five over Texas-San Antonio, the Wolverines swept fellow D-I Independent Texas-Pan American.

The win over San Antonio improved UV's season record to 4-0 in five-game matches.

Scouting the Opposition:
BYU:
The Cougars are 12-2 and currently ranked 19th in the nation in the CSTV/AVCA poll.

BYU is coming off of a four-game loss to rival Utah on Friday in front of a record crowd of 4,455 in Provo.

Leading offensive star Erica Lott did not play for BYU in the match. Lott is hitting .336 while leading the Cougars with a 4.64 kpg average.

BYU has swept 9 of its 12 wins so far this year. The Cougars are 1-1 this season against ranked opponents after the loss to Utah. The win came September 1st against #4 Stanford.

Up Next:
The Wolverines will have the weekend off before battling another ranked opponent and in-state school, Utah next Tuesday in Salt Lake City.
