What's on Tap:
Utah Valley State hosts rematches with South Dakota State and North Dakota this week after losing to both schools two weekends ago on the road.

The matches begin the final four home contests of the season for the Wolverines before the Division-I Independent Tournament in Fargo, North Dakota.

Both South and North Dakota State are current D-I Independents, like Utah Valley, but are playing their final seasons of independence with both joining the Mid-Continent Conference in 2007.

Wolverine Update:
Utah Valley State has lost a season high four straight matches and during that stretch has won just one game.

Two of the four losses have come against ranked opponents in then #19 BYU and #12 Utah.

Senior setter Lacee Koelliker is 257 assists shy of reaching 4,000 for her career and depending on the number of games played in UV's final seven matches, should be the first Wolverine to reach that number in the school's short NCAA history.

Camie Manwil's 4.23 kills per game leads the Wolverine offense and is second among all D-I Independents. Jessica Endres is second among Independents in hitting percentage, hitting at a .339 clip.

Scouting the Opposition:
South Dakota State: The Jacks (19-7) have won six straight matches and will go for their 20th win of the year on Thursday.

SDSU has five players that average at least 2.50 kills per game led by Kristina Martin, who has a 3.58 average.

Utah Valley is 4-3 all-time against South Dakota State. The Wolverines had won three straight before the Jacks swept UV in Brookings, South Dakota on October 13th.

North Dakota State: The Bison (14-10) have won eight out their last nine matches and had won seven straight before a five-game loss to South Dakota State on October 15th.

North Dakota State's 14 wins are an NCAA Division-I record for the school in its third season of D-I competition after moving up from D-II.

Sheila Parrish leads NDSU and is 1st among all D-I Independents with a 4.47 kills per game average. As a team, the Bison are 24th in the nation in team blocking.

Up Next:
The Wolverines will host Montana State on November 3rd before the regular season finale against Texas-Pan American on November 4th.
