OREM, UT- The Utah Valley State men's basketball team hosts the University of Great Falls on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the McKay Center. The game can be heard live on 1400 KSTAR. Utah Valley is 2-1 and coming off a 60-47 loss at Pac 10 foe Cal-Berkeley on Wednesday.
Ryan Toolson leads the Wolverines in scoring at 17 points a game. Jordan Brady is averaging 11 points and five rebounds a game. David Heck leads the team in rebounding at 5.7 boards per game.
This is the first ever meeting with Great Falls. Great Falls plays in the Frontier Conference and is 7-5.
"Great Falls has a terrific scorer in (Tyrone) Witherspoon and a shooter in (Rashaun) Puryear," Utah Valley State coach Dick Hunsaker said. "We'll have to concentrate defensively. They will bring terrific energy and emotion to the game."
Following Saturday's game the Wolverines don't return home to the McKay Center until December 9 when they host Utah State. Utah Valley's next contest is at Western Illinois on November 25.
