Utah Valley (17-8) is one win shy of tying the NCAA school record for wins in a season. The team went 18-11 in 2005 while winning the Division I Independent Championship.
The Wolverines are coming off of a sweep of Idaho State on Saturday in Orem. UV cruised to a 30-19 win in game one before going on a 6-1 run late in game two to win 30-28. They closed out the match with a 30-24 win in the third frame.
Terin Ledall hit .409 with 12 kills, Jessica Endres hit .400 with 12 kills and Kayli Broadbent had 15 kills while Allyce Wilson had 18 digs and Kristi Lindley dished out 42 assists for the Wolverines.
The win stopped a short two-match losing streak for Utah Valley. Both losses came against in-state schools, including a four-game loss to Utah State (14-10) last Thursday in Logan.
So far this season, the Wolverines are 1-3 against in-state schools with the lone win coming five games early in the season against Weber State in Orem. They've lost once each to BYU, Utah and Utah State.
