Troy University Visits UV in Home Opener

Nov. 19, 2007

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley will tip off its home slate when the Wolverines welcome their second straight Sun Belt opponent, Troy University to the McKay Center.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. Wolverine fans can also hear the game live online at www.WolverineGreen.com

"Troy will present a new set of challenges with their style of play," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They play 94 feet of pressure for 40 minutes. They try to create an up-tempo style of play in the game. They will challenge our perimeter shooting with their zone defense."

The Wolverines are coming off a victory against Sun Belt foe, Arkansas State last Wednesday. The Trojans are also entering the game off a win, a 133-131 victory over Paul Quinn College last week.

UV is led by Ryan Toolson's 23 points per game while Troy is led by Justin Jonus, who averages 29.5 points per game and is coming off a 44-point, eight-rebound effort.

The game will be Boy Scout Night as any Boy Scout in uniform can get a game ticket for just $1. Any guest of Boy Scouts can get tickets for $2.

After Troy, the Wolverines will be off until Saturday when they will welcome the University of Great Falls.
