OREM, Utah - Riding a three-game winning streak, Utah Valley will take to the road again as the Wolverines travel to the Bay Area to take on the University of San Francisco Wednesday evening. Tip off is slated for 8 p.m. (MT)
The Wolverines (3-2) and Dons (2-3) will play for the first time and will play twice this season as USF will travel to Orem on New Years Eve.
"San Francisco is as athletic, big and physical as any team we've played this year," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "Dior Lowhorn and Manny Quezada are a terrific inside-outside combination. Coach Evans' teams are always well-prepared and play with a lot of determination."
The showdown with San Francisco marks the first time the Wolverines will square off against a team from the West Coast Conference.
Lowhorn leads the Dons averaging 25.0 points and 8.6 assists per game while Quezada averages 17.6 points and 5.4 assists per game. Ryan Toolson leads UV in scoring, averaging 21.6 points per game.
The game can be heard live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. A live online audio feed can be heard by logging on to www.WolverineGreen.com.
After USF, the Wolverines will return home to take on Portland State in UV's annual Homecoming game.
