UV Hosts Boise State in Home Rematch

Dec. 12, 2007

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley will complete its early season home-and-home series with Boise State as the Broncos visit the McKay Center to take on the Wolverines Thursday evening at 7:05 p.m.

"Boise State beat us pretty soundly at their place in the season opener," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They are very physical and do a great job in the transistion game. We've got to find a way to contain those two areas to compete with them."

Boise State won the season opener, 73-72, in overtime in Boise on Nov. 9. The Wolverines shot the ball well, hitting on nearly 53 percent of their shots from the field. However, UV gave up 28 turnovers and the Broncos pulled down 22 offensive rebounds to help them win the close game.

Boise State is led by Reggie Larry who averages 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Ryan Toolson's 20.2 points per game leads the Wolverines.

The game will be televised live on local access television in Utah County. Comcast customers in Utah County can find the game on channel 17 while MSTAR and iProvo customers tune in on channel 15. Steve Watts will carry the play-by-play story with David Heck and Matt Peterson offering analysis. Watts can also be heard live on the radio on AM 1400 KSTAR and live online at www.WolverineGreen.com.

After the Broncos, UV will travel to Cedar City, Utah, Saturday to take on Southern Utah.
