CS Northridge and UCSB Up Next for UV

Dec. 4, 2007

OREM, Utah - Southern California is the destination as Utah Valley heads west for its final out-of-state road trip of 2007 when the Wolverines travel to take on Cal State Northridge Wednesday. Tip off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.(MT)

The Wolverines will play CSUN Wednesday before taking on UC Santa Barbara on Friday evening. Both games can be heard live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. The game can also be heard live or archived online at www.WolverineGreen.com.

Northridge enters the game with a 5-1 record. The Matadors beat North Carolina Central 69-43 in their last game. UV has posted a 3-4 overall mark in its tough early-season schedule.

"Northridge is a very athletic and a very deep team," Utah Valley head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They are going to put nine scoring threats on the floor. They bring a lot of offensive firepower and defensive pressure. Coach (Bobby) Braswell has his team playing with a lot of confidence and purpose."

The matchup marks the first time the two teams have faced off. The Wolverines are led by Ryan Toolson who is averaging 19.9 points per game. CSUN features four players who average double figures in points led by Jonathan Heard's 14.5.

In conjunction with Big West TV, both of the games will be made available via online video stream on a pay-per-view basis. As part of a package deal, those that purchase the Cal State Northridge game can watch the UC Santa Barbara game free. For more information click here.
