Ann Arbor, Michigan - Camie Manwill led Utah Valley with 14 kills but Michigan showed why it's ranked #10 in the nation with a sweep of UV (30-22, 30-21, 33-31) in the opener of the Michigan/Nike Invitational on Friday morning.
The Utah Valley Wolverines dropped to 5-3 with the loss while the Michigan Wolverines stayed perfect and moved to 10-0.
UV stayed close in games one and two until late Michigan runs closed out the Wolverines.
In game three, Utah Valley seemed poised to steal a game, leading by 27-24 and 29-28 before Michigan extended and eventually won the game 33-31.
The Michigan defense limited UV to just a .067 while hitting .245.
Allyce Wilson had 23 digs for Utah Valley while Stesha Selsky had 31 for Michigan.
