Bozeman, Montana - Utah Valley volleyball won its second straight match at a Big Sky Conference school, defeating Montana State in four games (27-30, 30-27, 30-24, 30-27) on Monday night in Bozeman, Montana.
The win made it a perfect 2-0 trip following Saturday's 3-1 win at Idaho State. Utah Valley moves to 7-5 with the win with MSU falling to 1-15.
"The girls played really hard and stayed composed in important situations," said head coach Sam Atoa. "On this trip, we've played with a lot of intensity and it's been great to see the girls get out there and battle."
Several Wolverines put up impressive numbers, led by Kristi Lindley's new four-game school record of 66 assists. Meagan Bluth hit .474 with 11 kills while Kayli Broadbent had 17 kills and hit .343.
"Meagan had a break-out match tonight," said Atoa. "I was very pleased with how she played offensively. Kayli has been very consistent and competitive and that's very much needed. We have some good things going on right now."
Camie Manwill had a game-high 21 kills while Jessica Endres had 19 kills and Allyce Wilson collected 28 digs.
The Wolverines will travel to Newark, New Jersey this weekend for the NJIT Invitational. They will take on Columbia and host NJIT on Friday and St. Francis on Saturday. All of the invitational's matches will feature GameTracker.
