BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - In its final trip of a five-game road swing to open the 2008 calendar year, Utah Valley travels to Bakersfield, Calif. to take on fellow independent Cal State Bakersfield Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. (MT)
"Bakersfield is playing exceptionally," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They are playing their best basketball of the season. They're are shooting the ball very well and are getting a balanced scoring attack."
The Wolverines are looking to end the long roadie on a positive note while the Roadrunners are looking to extend their current hot streak. CSUB has won its last three games and five of its last seven overall.
Utah Valley is led by Ryan Toolson who averages 22.4 points per game. Toolson enters the game just two points away from tying the career scoring record held by Ronnie Price.

After Cal State Bakersfield, UV will return home for three straight at the McKay Center. The Wolverines will welcome North Carolina Central on Tuesday.
