Wolverines Host Arkansas State

Jan. 29, 2008

OREM, Utah - Riding a three-game winning streak for the second time this season, Utah Valley will go for its fourth in a row when the Wolverines welcome Arkansas State to the McKay Center Wednesday evening.

"Arkansas State is very physical and athletic," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They are a good perimeter shooting team. (Adrian) Banks and (Eric) Wedel are two of the best players we've seen this year. (Kewain) Gant has been playing well. Coach Nutt has his team playing with a lot of determination and enthusiasm."

Tip off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Wolverines (9-13) and Indians (9-11) met Nov. 14 in Jonesboro, Ark. where UV edged ASU 67-63 to start an early season three-game win streak. The November game was the first meeting between the two games.

The Indians are led by the dynamic backcourt duo of Adrian Banks and Eric Wedel. The two combined for 42 in the two teams' first meeting and average 18.9 and 15.4 points, respectively. UV is led by double-figures scorers Ryan Toolson (22.6) and Jordan Brady (10.7).

The game can be heard live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. Live stats, video and audio can be accessed at www.WolverineGreen.com.

The game will also be carried on live local access television. Orem Comcast customers can see the game on channel 17 while IProvo and MSTAR customers can both see the game on channel 15. The game is also available on demand.

The game wraps up UV's three-game homestand as the Wolverines will head back out on the road for three of its next four beginning Saturday at NJIT.
