Wolverines to Play Two Matches in Hawaii

Nov. 11, 2008

UVU Notes

OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University women's volleyball team (9-11) is in Hawaii this week for matches against BYU-Hawaii (16-7) Wednesday at 7:30 HT and Hawaii (22-3) Saturday at 7 p.m. HT.

The Wolverines are fresh off a three-set sweep of future Great West Conference opponent Houston Baptist on Senior Night. Sophomore Kayli Broadbent and junior Allyce Wilson were named GWC Offensive and Defensive Players of the week for their performances in that match.

BYU-Hawaii has already won the Pacific West Conference (NCAA Div. II) championship with a 12-2 conference record. Hawaii has also already clinched at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season championship with a 15-1 conference record.

There will be no coverage of Wednesday's match at BYU-Hawaii, but the University of Hawaii will provide live stats, live audio, and live video feeds through their Web site at http://hawaiiathletics.com/index.aspx. To access any of the three, fans can go to the women's volleyball page and then click on the schedule link. There will be a "details" link next to the match against Utah Valley, and that is where the links to the live coverage can be found.
