Wolverines Head to East Coast

NEWARK, N.J. - Coming off a three-game home stand and riding a season-high four game winning streak, Utah Valley will travel across the country to take on fellow Division I independent New Jersey Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon. Tip off is slated for noon (MT).

The Wolverines (10-13) will be playing for their third straight win against the Highlanders (0-22). The two teams faced off twice last season. Later this year, NJIT will travel to Orem to finish out this season's home-and-home with the two teams.

NJIT is led in scoring and rebounding by Nesho Milosevic. The junior big man averages 11.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Guard Kraig Peters averages 10.6 points per game for the Highlanders.

Utah Valley is led by Ryan Toolson who averages 22.9 points per game. Toolson ranks eighth in the country in scoring and first among NCAA Division I independents. Toolson also leads the nation in foul shooting at 95.7 percent.

After the game with NJIT, UV will have its longest layoff since the Christmas Break as the Wolverines will have a week to prepare for Chicago State, which travels to Orem on Feb. 9.
