DURHAM, N.C. - In its final road game of the season, Utah Valley will visit North Carolina Central to finish a home-and-home series. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (MT)
"This is our last road game of the season," UV head coach Dick Hunsaker said. "We are coming off a tough performance at Savannah State. I expect to see our best effort. North Carolina Central has regrouped since our game in Orem. They have a two-game winning streak and are playing with a renewed excitement."
The Wolverines (12-14) are coming off a 61-46 loss to Savannah State which ended UV's six-game winning streak that started a month ago. The 46 points were the fewest scored by UV this season.
The Eagles (3-23) have won two consecutive and are playing in only their second game in the month of February. NC Central is led by two-sport star Charles Futrell, who averages 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Ryan Toolson leads UV with 23.5 points per game. Toolson leads all NCAA Division I independents in scoring and ranks seventh nationally in scoring. Jordan Brady leads the Wolverines with 7.7 rebounds per game.
The game will be carried live on AM 1400 KSTAR with Steve Watts calling the play-by-play action. Live Internet audio is also available at www.WolverineGreen.com.
After NCCU, Utah Valley will conclude its season with a pair of home games against NJIT and Cal State Bakersfield to finish the season.
