PULLMAN, Wash. - The Utah Valley women's volleyball team lost another tough road match Friday at Washington State in three sets (21-25, 21-25, 21-25). With the loss, the Wolverines fell to 2-7 on the year while the Cougars improved to 7-4.
Sophomore Kayli Broadbent led all attackers with 14 kills in the match. She also had five digs and a block. Junior Allyce Wilson recorded 20 digs in the match for the third time this year.
"The girls played harder tonight than they did at Utah State," UVU head coach Sam Atoa said. "We were better tonight than we were on Tuesday, and we just have to keep getting better. We need to learn how to close out sets. We will improve with each of these experiences, and we look forward to playing Weber State at home on Tuesday."
UVU will return home to play in-state rival Weber State Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Wolverines are 2-0 at home this year.
