UVU Notes
OREM, Utah - Utah Valley will play the first of three straight road games for the week tonight at BYU and then the Wolverines, who have won four straight matches, will resume Great West Conference action Thursday and Saturday at South Dakota and North Dakota, respectively.
Tonight's match with the Cougars is set for 7 p.m. at the Smith Fieldhouse.
The Wolverines (16-7, 6-1) are 0-5 all-time against the Cougars and have taken just one set from the Mountain West Conference team. The Cougars (10-10) have lost two of their last three matches, including a 3-2 loss to Utah last week.
On Thursday, UVU battles South Dakota, which beat NJIT Saturday night. The Coyotes (11-12, 5-3) have won six of their last seven matches. UVU beat USD 3-0 on Oct. 2 in Orem.
UVU's Kayli Broadbent had 18 kills and Camie Manwill added 10.
UVU is 1-0 all-time against the Coyotes. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m. (MT)
The Wolverines then travel to North Dakota, which beat NJIT last week also. At the start of the week UVU and UND were tied atop the GWC standings in the loss column. The Fighting Sioux (16-6, 7-1) have won six straight matches all by the score of 3-0. The Wolverines are 1-0 all-time against the Fighting Sioux.
Utah Valley beat UND 3-1 on Oct. 1. In that match Manwill posted 19 kills and nine digs, while Allyce Jones had 26 digs.
The match is set for 11 a.m.
