OREM, Utah - Utah Valley University senior volleyball players Camie Manwill, Allyce Jones and Marla Morin will play the final home match of their careers Thursday night when the Wolverines host NJIT (16-9, 6-4) at 7 p.m. at the Shurian Family Activity Center.
Manwill is UVU's all-time leader in kills (1,471), attack attempts (4,282) and service attempts (1,578) and is tied for first in points per set (4.25), while Jones is the Wolverines' all-time leader in digs (1,648) and digs per set (5.23). Morin, a transfer from Portland State, has seen action in 15 sets in two seasons. Last year she was limited due to injury.
Currently, the Wolverines (19-9) are 9-2 in league play and trail North Dakota by a match and lead NJIT by two matches.
In a battle for first place on Oct. 10, the Highlanders beat the Wolverines, 3-2. Since then, the Highlanders have dropped league matches to South Dakota, North Dakota (twice) and Texas-Pan American.
In the 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-18, 11-15 loss, Kayli Broadbent recorded 23 kills and a career-high 23 digs, while Manwill had 17 kills and 21 digs. Jones talled 35 digs and Chelsea Fa'alogo notched 53 assists.
NJIT's Sabrina Baby, who leads the nation in digs, had 36 in the match.
The Wolverines lead the all-time series 2-1.
