Live StatsOREM, Utah – Fresh off of a trip to Cedar City to face Southern Utah the other night, the Utah Valley University volleyball team will continue its road stretch at Seattle University on Saturday afternoon.
The Western Athletic Conference match will begin at 1 p.m. PT/2 p.m. MT and will be streamed live on the

The Wolverines will enter the match 9-14 overall and currently tied for fourth with Seattle U in the league standings with identical 4-3 conference records. UVU previously defeated the Redhawks in the two team's earlier season meeting a month ago in Orem in five sets, but has recently dropped its last two matches. Utah Valley fell to Bakersfield in the full five sets in WAC action last Saturday before dropping a non-conference midweek contest in five sets at Southern Utah on Tuesday night.
Junior
Lauren Bakker and sophomore Macky Treanor paced the Wolverines with 15 kills apiece in Tuesday's match while senior
Kalani Norris chipped in nine. Treanor also added her second double-double of the season with a career-high 16 digs while senior
Jen Hardman added her first double-double in a Wolverine uniform with 28 assists and 10 digs.
Bakker leads UVU on the season in kills (2.78 per set average), blocks (1.12), hitting percentage (.353) and points (286.5). Her .353 attack percentage is also good enough to lead the WAC, while senior
McKenna Tait paces the league in service aces and ranks 18th nationally in that same category.
About Seattle UThe Redhawks are 8-12 overall and 4-3 in WAC play. SU will enter Saturday's contest having won four of its last six matches. Seattle U was picked to finish second in the WAC this season and will enter Saturday off of a four-set win over Grand Canyon at home last weekend.
Martina Samadan paces the Redhawks in kills (2.71), blocks (1.29) and hitting percentage (.345). Matea Mamic and Iris Ivanis are next for SU, averaging 2.63 and 2.31 kills per set respectively.
Saturday's matchup will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the Wolverines and Seattle U. UVU holds a slight 3-2 advantage after taking last month's meeting in five sets in Orem.
Up Next for the WolverinesUtah Valley will continue its road swing at Texas-Pan American next Thursday (Oct. 30) and New Mexico State next Saturday (Nov. 1). Following next week's action, the Wolverines will return to Orem for their final home matches of the season. The three-match homestand will begin on Nov. 6 versus Chicago State.
