OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team will host Bristol Tuesday night at the UCCU Center. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. MT.

Bristol University, a private institution located in Anaheim, Calif., is in its first-ever season as an athletic department and its first-ever year of college basketball. The school has 13 sports and the Bears are members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Bristol is 3-11 in its first year of competition and the team has lost five straight games. The team most recently dropped a 109-59 decision at Weber State on Saturday night in Ogden. The team has played two other Division I games this season, falling 93-55 at Fresno State and 97-63 at Sacramento State. The team is playing its first 19 games of the season on the road.

On the season, Bristol is averaging 64.9 points and 25.3 rebounds per game while shooting 41 percent from the field. The Bears are led by junior Brandon Chavers who is leading the team in scoring (12.1) and rebounding (4.2).

Utah Valley enters Tuesday night's contest with a 4-8 overall record. The team wraps up a stretch of three-straight home games on Tuesday. The Wolverines own a 2-2 record at home this season with wins over South Dakota and Idaho State.

Utah Valley most recently dropped a 74-49 decision at home to Sacramento State on Saturday night.
Chad Ross led the Wolverines on Saturday night with 10 points and a career-high five rebounds. Ross was the lone UVU player to score in double figures, tallying his 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field, including a 1-of-1 mark from beyond the arc. He was also a perfect 3-for-3 at the charity stripe.
Mitch Bruneel scored nine points, hitting 4-of-7 shots from the field.
Marcel Davis helped with seven points while
Cory Cardwell added a career-high six points.
Through 12 games this season, Bruneel leads the Wolverines in scoring at 12.0 points per contest and rebounding at 6.1 boards a game.
Zach Nelson averages 8.6 points per game.
Marcel Davis fronts the team in assists at 3.6 per game.

Tuesday's game will tip-off at 7:05 p.m. (MT). Following Tuesday's game, Utah Valley will travel to play Arkansas on Saturday.
