OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team continues WAC play this week as the Wolverines host Chicago State Thursday night at the UCCU Center. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. (MT).

Chicago State heads into Thursday night's game with a 4-17 overall record. The team owns a 0-4 WAC mark. The team has lost six straight dating back to a 54-50 loss at Green Bay. Chicago State's last win was a 69-66 home win over Omaha on Dec. 29. The Cougars also own wins over Indiana University Northwest, Trinity Christian and St. Joseph's (IN). Thursday's game will mark the third WAC road contest of the season for Chicago State. The Cougars are yet to win on the road this season as the team holds a 0-12 record.

Senior guard Clarke Rosenberg leads the team in scoring at 11.4 points a contest. Freshman guard Anthony Golver averages 7.6 points a game while sophomore guard/forward Trayvon Palmer averaged 7.5 a contest. Palmer fronts the team in rebounding, pulling down 5.2 boards a game. As a team, CSU is averaging 58.3 points a contest while allowing opponents a 68.3 points per game average.

"Chicago State will come in hungry and aggressive," said Utah Valley head coach Dick Hunsaker. "They always compete hard."
Utah Valley plays Chicago State for the 15th time in the history of the two programs. Utah Valley owns an 11-3 advantage over the Cougars. The Wolverines have won seven of the last eight contests against CSU, including three straight. Utah Valley swept the first-ever WAC series between the two schools last season.

Utah Valley wrapped up its road trip last week with a 1-1 record as the Wolverines defeated Texas-Pan American before falling to NM State. UVU now holds a 7-11 overall record. The team is 2-2 in WAC play. Five Aggies scored in double figures to lead New Mexico State to a 69-44 win over Utah Valley last Saturday at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces.

Junior guard
Donte Williams led Utah Valley with a game-high 17 points against New Mexico State the last time out. Williams connected on 5-of-10 shots from the field. He was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Williams also pulled down three rebounds in the setback.
Mitch Bruneel was also in double figures with 11 points, connecting on 5-of-7 shots from the field. He tallied a team-high five rebounds with two steals and an assist.
Jaden Jackson helped out with seven points against NMSU.
Through 18 games this season, senior forward
Mitch Bruneel leads the Wolverines in scoring at 12.9 points per contest and rebounding at 6.4 boards a game. Williams also averages double figures at 10.1 points a contest.
Marcel Davis fronts the team in assists at 3.7 per game.
