OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team continues non-league play Tuesday night as the Wolverines travel to Logan to play Utah State at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MST.

Utah State, picked to finish third in the Mountain West Conference this season, enters Tuesday's matchup against Utah Valley with a perfect 3-0 record. The Aggies opened the season with a 73-70 win at Weber State before picking up wins at home over Adams State (83-68) and Union (73-49). The Aggies are under the direction of first-year head coach Tim Duryea, who previously served as an assistant at USU under Stew Morrill.

The Aggies most recently picked up a 73-49 win over Union on Friday night. Junior wingman Jalen Moore led Utah State with 16 points and eight rebounds. Senior guard Chris Smith helped with 11 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. Smith leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding at 16.7 points and 8.3 rebounds a contest, while Moore ranks second on the team in both categories at 14.0 points and 7.3 boards per game.

"Utah State has a tremendous home court advantage," said Utah Valley head coach Mark Pope. "As a player, you love playing in an environment like they have there.  They are a really good team. It will be a huge challenge for us but we are going to go battle. If we can fight to move the ball with pace, we'll have a fighting chance and we're excited about it."

Tuesday night marks the 11th time that Utah Valley and Utah State have met on the basketball hardwood. The Aggies own a perfect 10-0 all-time record over the Wolverines. USU is 5-0 against Utah Valley in Logan. The Aggies snuck out of the UCCU Center with a 50-47 win over UVU in last year's matchup.

Utah Valley enters Tuesday's matchup with a 2-2 record. The Wolverines look to pick up their first road win of the season. UVU hit the century mark for just the fifth time in its history with a 104-60 win over Antelope Valley Friday night. Senior guard Jaden Jackson scored a career-high 21 points and four other Wolverines scored in double figures to lead UVU to the win over the Pioneers. Darrious Hamilton recorded a career high with 15 points, while Konner Frey and Marcel Davis also chipped in 15 points. Alex Carr pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds in the win.

Frey continues to lead Utah Valley in both scoring and rebounding as the junior averages 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds a contest. Hamilton (11.3 ppg.), Jackson (10.5 ppg.) and Ivory Young (10.0 ppg.) are also averaging double figure scoring.

Tuesday night's game in Logan will tip-off at 7 p.m., and will be broadcast live on ESPN 960 AM radio with Jim McCulloch handling the play-by-play duties.
