Orem, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team continues WAC play at home on Saturday against Texas-Pan American. Tip-off at the UCCU Center is set for 7:05 p.m. MT.

Texas-Pan American owns a 9-18 overall record this season and a 3-8 mark in WAC play. The Broncs dropped a 64-59 decision at Grand Canyon on Thursday night. UTPA has dropped five of its last six contests and seven of its last nine. The team sits just one half a game behind UVU for the sixth spot in the WAC standings. The Broncs are 0-6 on the road in WAC play and 1-14 overall on the road this season.

Sophomore forward Janari Joesaar leads the Broncs in scoring at 18.2 points per game and rebounding at 7.1 boards per game. He posted his sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds at Grand Canyon Thursday night. His six double-doubles ranks him tied for second in the WAC. He tied a career high with 29 points that included four threes in the loss to Utah Valley earlier this season. He has earned two WAC Player of the Week honors this season. Senior Shaquille Boga also averages double digits in scoring at 12.2 points a contest. Boga also leads the Broncs in both assists (3.8) and steals (1.5).

Utah Valley heads into Saturday's game with a 9-16 overall record. The squad holds a 3-7 WAC mark. UVU holds a 6-5 record at the UCCU Center this season.

The Wolverines dropped a 51-38 decision to WAC leader New Mexico State on Thursday night.
Zach Nelson led the Wolverines with 12 points. The sophomore forward hit 6-of-11 shots from the field and tallied five rebounds, a block and an assist. Senior forward
Mitch Bruneel pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with four points. Freshman forward
Boston Gubler tied a career high with seven points with three rebounds and two blocks. Junior guard
Marcel Davis tallied six points with eight assists. New Mexico State shot 40.9 percent from the field while holding the Wolverines to a 28.6 percent clip.

Bruneel continues to lead the Wolverines in scoring at 12.5 points per game. He also fronts the team in rebounding at 6.3 boards a contest. Nelson and Williams are also averaging double figure scoring at 10.9 and 10.1 points per game, respectively.
