OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team travels to Chicago, Illinois to take on Western Athletic Conference foe Chicago State Saturday at the Jones Convocation Center. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. MT.

Chicago State enters Saturday's game against Utah Valley with a 7-22 overall record. The team owns a 3-9 mark in Western Athletic Conference play. The Cougars defeated Grand Canyon 74-70 on Thursday night behind a combined 47-point effort from senior guard duo Sean Hill and Clarke Rosenberg. The team had dropped three straight before picking up the win over Grand Canyon and earned a season sweep over the 'Lopes with the victory.

Rosenberg leads the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game while Hill ranks second at 8.1 points a contest. Sophomore forward Trayvon Palmer fronts the team in rebounding at 4.9 boards a game. As a team, Chicago State is averaging 58.2 points a game while allowing opponents a 67.6 scoring average. The Cougars will honor four seniors on Saturday, as the game will mark CSU's final home contest of the season.

"We always have very competitive games with Chicago State," said Utah Valley head coach Dick Hunsaker. "With their senior day on Saturday, I'm sure this will be another big challenge for us."

Utah Valley enters Saturday's matchup with a 10-17 overall record. The Wolverines own a 4-8 mark in WAC play with wins over Seattle U, Texas-Pan American and Chicago State. The team holds a 3-11 record on the road this season, including a 1-5 WAC road mark.

Utah Valley plays Chicago State for the 16th time in the history of the two programs. Utah Valley owns a 12-3 advantage over the Cougars. The Wolverines have won eight of the last nine contests, including three straight. Utah Valley swept the first-ever WAC series between the two schools last season. UVU won the first game of this year's season series, 78-62, on Jan. 29 in Orem.

The Wolverines dropped a 69-50 decision at Missouri-Kansas City on Thursday night. Junior guard Jaden Jackson, whose previous career high was 10 points, led UVU with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field, including a 4-of-7 clip from beyond the arc. He was a perfect 1-for-1 from the charity stripe and tallied a rebound, an assist and a steal in the setback.
