OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team will host Saint Katherine's College Monday night at the UCCU Center in the team's final non-conference matchup of the season. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. MT.

The Saint Katherine Firebirds are based in San Marcos, Calif. The team competes as an independent and has faced Division I opponents Weber State, UC Riverside, UNLV, Southern Utah, San Jose State, Fresno State and Santa Clara. Â The team holds a 7-19 overall record. Monday night's meeting between Utah Valley and Saint Katherine will mark the second time that the two schools meet on the hardwood. UVU and Saint Katherine met last season at the UCCU Center with the Wolverines taking an 89-37 victory.

The Firebirds most recently defeated Fresno Pacific, 83-77, at home on Saturday night. Junior guard LeSean Galbreath led five Firebird players in double figures with 15 points. Anthony Miller scored 14, Dante Miller and Aragad Abrahmian each scored 13, while Jebari Robinson helped with 12.

"Saint Katherine is a team that has been playing really well," said Utah Valley head coach Dick Hunsaker. They will bring a lot of energy and excitement. They will give us some defensive court spacing issues."

Utah Valley enters Monday's matchup with an 8-14 overall record. The team owns a 3-5 WAC mark with wins over Seattle U, Texas-Pan American and Chicago State. The Wolverines are 5-4 at home this season.

The Wolverines most recently dropped a 53-33 decision at Seattle U on Saturday night. The Redhawks used a strong defensive effort to hold Utah Valley to a season-low 27.3 percent shooting performance to defeat the Wolverines.
Mitch Bruneel and
Donte Williams led Utah Valley with 10 points apiece. Bruneel hit 5-of-9 shots from the field and tallied four rebounds. Williams knocked down 3-of-9 shots on the night and hit 4-of-6 shots from the charity stripe.
Marcel Davis recorded six points with six rebounds in the setback. Utah Valley connected on 12-of-44 shots (27.3 percent) on the night, including a 0-of-17 mark from beyond the arc. Seattle U shot 40.8 percent from the field.

Through 22 games this season, Bruneel fronts the Wolverines in scoring at 12.9 points per contest and 6.1 boards a game. Williams and
Zach Nelson are also averaging double figures at 10.3 points per game each. Davis leads the team and ranks second in the Western Athletic Conference in assists at 3.91 per game.
Donte Williams leads the Wolverines at the free throw line with an 80.5 percent clip, which ranks third in the WAC.
