MALIBU, Calif.—The Utah Valley University dropped their second match in the Pepperdine Asics Classic three sets to none (25-20, 25-16, 25-16) to foe Pepperdine on Friday in the Firestone Fieldhouse.
"We lost again in three, but there were some bright moments here and there. We are doing okay, but not good enough to beat these teams that are playing better than we are right now," head coach
Sam Atoa said. "We can improve on our passing, which helps us to stay in our system; If we can do that, we can utilize a very capable offense. But we have some things to learn, we have to be patient and we will get there."
Lexi Thompson continued to lead the Wolverines (0-2) in kills on the day, earning eight, after earning seven in Utah Valley's first match in the tournament against UCSB Friday morning. Freshman
