No. 14/21 UVU WRAPS UP REGULAR SEASON HOME SCHEDULE
With just three regular-season matches remaining, Utah Valley University plays host to Grand Canyon and UNLV this week in the final two home games of the conference season. The Wolverines (13-3-0, 6-1-0) host GCU on Thursday and UNLV on Saturday at Clyde Field. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. and air live on the WAC Digital Network with Saturday also serving as Senior Night.

UVU has already clinched a berth in the WAC Tournament, which the Wolverines are hosting beginning Nov. 10. Utah Valley is currently in second place, behind Seattle U, in its bid for a first regular season WAC title. Seattle currently has 20 points with two games remining while UVU has 18 with three to go.

"There's no other way to put it — this is a massive weekend with serious WAC and NCAA implications," UVU head coach Greg Maas said. "This team is focused, not easily distracted, and they look forward to getting back on the pitch at Clyde Field in front of our 12th Wolverines."

Maas' squad won two more games last week to run its win streak to a school-record six matches. The first five of those came in shutout wins before a 2-1 victory at San José State on Sunday. Despite the goal -- the first in over 544 minutes played -- UVU enters the week tied with four other schools with a nation-leading 10 shutouts on the season. UVU is currently ranked No. 21 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll, No. 14 by TopDrawerSoccer.com, No. 17 by College Soccer News and is also No. 19 in the Soccer America polll.

In the first match last week, the Wolverines got a 80' goal from Donnett Sackie to top Houston Baptist, 1-0. Joe Barakat and Paul Hoffmeister both assisted on the goal.

In the victory at SJSU, Skyler Milne scored his seventh goal of the year early on in the contest and, after the Spartans tied it, Matt Gay put away the game-winner near the end of the first half. Aaron Meyer had assists on both goals and currently leads the WAC with seven.  Mitch Jensen was also credited with an assist on Gay's goal.

ABOUT THE ANTELOPES
Grand Canyon enters Thursday's game at 6-7-3 overall and 3-2-3 in WAC play. The Antelopes are in their final year of reclassification from NCAA DII to DI and are not eligible for the WAC Tournament until next season. GCU boasts the WAC's top goal scorer in Niki Jackson, who has scored 14 times this season. He has five more goals than any other WAC player and also leads the league with 29 points. UVU is 2-0-0 against Grand Canyon, winning 1-0 at home in 2014 and overcoming a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 last season in Phoenix.

ABOUT THE REBELS
UNLV is 6-9-1 overall and 4-2-1 in WAC play (13 points) and is at Seattle U on Thurday night. The Rebels are currently in fourth place, two points behind Air Force. UNLV has won two in a row and is unbeaten in its last three matches. Last week the Rebels picked up a key decision over Air Force before a 1-0 win at Houston Baptist. Utah Valley is 1-2-0 all-time against UNLV, having lost the first two matches in the series before a 1-0 victory in last season's WAC Tournament semifinal in Kansas City.

COMING UP
The Wolverines finish the WAC regular season with a road game at Incarnate Word on Saturday, Nov. 5 in San Antonio. The WAC Tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 10 at Clyde Field with the Wolverines slated to play the 6 p.m. MT contest on either Nov. 10 or, if UVU finishes with one of the top two seeds, Nov. 11.
