OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University men's soccer will face the U.S. U-17 Men's National Team in a friendly next Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. MT at Trailside Park in Park City.
 
The U.S. U-17 MNT will be in Utah as part of its training for the 2016 Torneo Naciones de Mexico from Aug. 22-29 in Mexico City. In addition to UVU, the USA will also play the Real Monarchs while visiting the Beehive State.
 
"It's a fantastic opportunity to have the U.S. U-17 MNT hold their training camp here in Utah," said Maas. "It's an honor for our program to play an exhibition against the best young players in our country, and it will be a substantial test for our team only a few days into our preseason."
 
The Wolverines, ranked No. 28 in College Soccer News' preseason Top 30 poll, began official practice on Wednesday in preparation for their encore to the 2015 NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
UVU will also host the annual Green & White scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at Clyde Field. The 2016 regular season opener will be Friday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. when the Wolverines host Pac 12 Washington.
