UVU hosts Chicago State on Friday morning at Clyde Field

UTAH VALLEY HOSTS CHICAGO STATE IN FRIDAY MORNING SHOWDOWN
The Utah Valley University women's soccer team continues WAC play this week as the team returns to Orem to take on Chicago State in a rare Friday morning game at Clyde Field. The game, which will include grade school students from the surrounding areas, will kickoff at 11 a.m. (MT).

The Wolverines went 1-1 on the road last week to open WAC play. The team picked up a 3-0 shutout victory at New Mexico State before dropping a 3-1 decision at UT Rio Grande Valley. Sadie Bockbank, Leesa Stowe, and Whitney Paskins each found the back of the net to lead the Wolverines to the 3-0 shutout over New Mexico State last Friday in Las Cruces. Brooklyn Nielsen picked up the shutout win in the box for UVU. Paskins scored her second goal of the week to give UVU an early lead, but the Wolverines couldn't hold on in a 3-1 loss at UTRGV.

With her two goals last week, Paskins now leads the Wolverines with eight points this season, collecting a team-best four goals this year. Brockbank follows closely behind with seven points with two goals and a team-best three assists. Brockbank leads the team with 32 shots and is tied with Breanna McCarter with 11 shots on goal. McCarter, Stowe, Amber Tripp, Sara Callister, and Julanna Carter each have one. Brooklyn Nielsen leads UVU in the box this season having logged 930 minutes. Nielsen ranks fourth in the WAC with 56 saves this season. She also ranks fourth in the conference in saves per match at 5.09 a game. She also holds a 1.94 goals against average.
