OPENING TIP
- Utah Valley University continues its current four-game road swing on Tuesday against Southern Utah University at noon MT at America First Event Center in Cedar City. Â
- The Wolverines are in a stretch where they'll face each of the five other Utah Division I programs over a six-game span. SUU will be No. 3 on the list after games against BYU and at Utah last week.
- UVU has faced SUU more than any other non-WAC school in the program's DI era. Southern Utah owns a 13-7 lead in the all-time series but the Wolverines have won three straight, dating back to the 2015 season.
- Jordan Holland leads three Wolverines averaging in double figures with 12.3 points per game with Eve Braslis scoring 11.9 and Alexis Cortez right at 10.0 ppg. Holland and Braslis share team-high honors with 6.4 rebounds per contest.Â

ABOUT THE T-BIRDS
Southern Utah enters Tuesday's contest at 2-4 on the year and is coming off of a 64-59 loss at Tulsa on Saturday. Last Tuesday, the T-Birds knocked off BYU, 67-64, and are 2-0 at home so far this season. Senior guard Breanu Reid leads SUU with 12.5 points per game while junior Rebecca Cardenas is averaging 10.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.Â
THE WEEK THAT WAS
The Wolverines dropped both contests last week, to in-state programs BYU and Utah. Against BYU, Alexis Cortez finished with 10 points to lead the Wolverines but a lopsided edge on the glass helped the Cougars to a 77-51 victory. Two days later, in the first road game of the season, UVU stayed in the game until late in the first half before the Pac 12 Utes ended the first half on a run and pulled away in the second to win 85-47.
UP NEXT
The Wolverines will be at Idaho State on Thursday night at 7 p.m. MT before wrapping up the current four-game road swing on Dec. 15 at Utah State.
