UVU TRAVELS TO GRAND CANYON STATE TO TAKE ON ARIZONA, NORTHERN ARIZONA
After playing three-straight games at home, Utah Valley travels to the Grand Canyon State to take on Arizona and Northern Arizona this week. The Wolverines will take on Arizona on Thursday before traveling to play Northern Arizona on Saturday. Thursday's game against the Wildcats is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network.
Utah Valley and Arizona meet on the basketball hardwood for just the second time on Thursday night. The two teams have met just one time with the Wildcats taking an 87-56 win on Dec. 9, 2014 in Tucson. The game marked Arizona's 36th-straight non-conference home win. The Wildcats have since extended their non-conference home win streak to 51 games. UVU holds an all-time 2-8 record against teams from the Pac-12 Conference. UVU's lone wins over Pac-12 foes include a 75-71 win over Arizona State on Dec. 10, 2005 and a 70-68 victory at Oregon State on Dec. 1, 2010.
Conner Toolson scored a season-high 26 points and
TJ Washington scored a career-high 17 points to lead Utah Valley to a 98-75 win over Denver in a Summit League/WAC challenge game on Saturday night at the UCCU Center. The win extended UVU's home win streak to 18 games—one of the longest streaks in the country.
Conner Toolson scored his 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including a 5-of-10 clip from beyond the arc. He also knocked down 5-of-6 shots at the free throw line and pulled down four rebounds. Washington knocked down 5-of-7 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 from long range for his 17 points. He also dished out six assists.
Jake Toolson scored 15 points on a 5-of-9 clip, including a pair of threes.
Ben Nakwaasah and
Baylee Steele were also in double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Conner Toolson now ranks fifth on the all-time UVU steals list and made threes list. He ranks ninth on the all-time points chart and is just 60 points away from becoming just the eighth 1,000-point scorer in UVU history. He passed up cousin Ryan Toolson (2003-04, 06-09) for the fifth spot and is now just two steals away from tying Jordan Swarbrick (2007-11) for the fourth spot. Toolson is now all alone in fifth on the all-time at UVU on the three-point field goals made chart with 152 and is just nine made threes away from tying UVU great Ronnie Price for fourth on the all-time threes list. Toolson ranks ninth on UVU's all-time scoring list with 940 points. He needs just 60 points to become just the eighth player in UVU history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
Utah Valley is currently tied for the fourth-longest active home win streak in the nation at 18 games. The Wolverines look to extend their win streak to 18 games against Denver on Saturday night.

ABOUT ARIZONA
Arizona enters Thursday night's game against Utah Valley with a 6-2 record. After dropping games to Gonzaga (91-74) and Auburn (73-57) at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in Hawaii, the Wildcats have won two straight, including a 76-72 win on the road at UConn. Arizona now returns to the McKale Center where the team has won 51 straight non-conference games. Arizona's last loss at home was a 61-57 setback to San Diego State in 2011. The Wolverines got off to a quick start, taking a 16-14 lead after junior guard
Jaden Jackson hit a shot from beyond the arc with 13:24 remaining in the first half. Arizona then re-took the lead and never trailed again as the Wildcats opened the second half on a 20-2 run to help secure the victory.

Ross scored his career-high 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-2 mark from three-point range. Davis tallied his 10 points on a 2-of-4 clip from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 mark from the charity stripe.

Utah Valley jumped out to a 9-2 run over the first 2:15 of the game with Connor Toolson scoring seven of UVU's first nine points in a three-point bucket and a pair of layups. Leading 21-15 with 11:38 to play, Utah Valley used a 15-4 run to take a 36-19 lead with 7:23 remaining in the half. The two teams played evenly over the final seven minutes as the Wolverines were able to take a 53-37 into the break. The 53 points are the most points that UVU has scored in a half this season. The Wolverines used an 8-2 run early in the second half to jump out to a 63-42 lead with 14:42 to play. Utah Valley then scored 15 unanswered points over a 3:45 span to take a 31-point lead, 78-47, with 10 minutes to go. Denver out-scored UVU 28-20 the rest of the way but it wasn't enough as UVU hung on to win by 23 points, 98-75.

UVU TIED FOR THE FOURTH-LONGEST ACTIVE HOME WIN STREAK IN THE NATION, BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD
Utah Valley won a school-record 16 games at home last season, finishing the 2017-18 campaign with a school-record 16-1 record at home, surpassing the previous record of 14-1 set by the 2006-07 team. Utah Valley is tied with Montana for the nation's fourth-longest active home win streak in the nation at 18 games behind South Dakota State (24), Houston (21), and Charleston (20). The Wolverines look to extend their win streak to 19 games on Dec. 19 against Idaho State. The previous UVU home win streak record was 17 games, which was set from the 2004-05 season to the 2005-06 season.
