OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University men's soccer hosts Gonzaga University in its lone exhibition of the season on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. MT. The match will be played indoors at the Real Salt Lake Academy due to poor air quality throughout the valley.
The Wolverines will also host the annual Green & White scrimmage on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Clyde Field.
"This is our fifth straight year with Gonzaga on our schedule and we couldn't be more pleased to kick off 2018 with such a great opponent for an exhibition match," UVU head coach
Greg Maas said. "We just returned from our annual training camp in Park City and our entire staff is excited with where we're at as a team in the early going. We have limited returning starters, 12 new players, but the quality, continuity, and competitiveness within this group of young men has all the makings of something special — we're looking forward to another exciting year for UVU men's soccer."
The 2018 season opener is Friday, Aug. 24 against Evansville with another match on Monday, Aug. 27 with Florida Atlantic at Clyde Field. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. MT and are part of a weekend that includes UNLV playing both Evansville and FAU in Orem.
