UVU hosts 13th-ranked UC Davis Tuesday night

#13 UC DAVIS VISITS CLYDE FIELD
Utah Valley University hosts 13th-ranked and unbeaten UC Davis on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. MT on Clyde Field. The game can be seen live on UVU TV and the WAC Digital Network.

"Calling all 12th Wolverines — it's time to protect The Den. UC Davis is off to a great start, undefeated, and ranked in the Top 20 in the nation," UVU head coach Greg Maas said. "This team is ready for our return to Clyde Field as we finish non-conference play with a serious test before our WAC opener this coming Saturday night in Houston."

LAST TIME OUT
Last Friday's scheduled home contest against UC Santa Barbara -- the only scheduled game of the week -- was canceled due to poor air quality due to the fires in southern Utah County. Air quality will be monitored approaching Tuesday's match as well.

Prior to last week, the Wolverines dropped both matches in Nebraska, falling 2-0 to Omaha before a 1-0 defeat against Memphis in a neutral-site match at Creighton University. Against Omaha, UVU outshot the Mavericks 14-7 including by a 9-1 advantage in the second half.

SERIES HISTORY
UVU and UC Davis have met once prior, on Sept. 24, 2016 in Davis, California. The Wolverines got a goal from current assistant coach Alex Neff, 21 minutes into the match, for the game-winner.  The Wolverines are 5-4-0 all-time against schools from the Big West Conference, including 1-1-0 this season.

ABOUT UC DAVIS
UC Davis is one of just 15 remaining unbeaten teams in the country after going 1-0-1 last week. The Aggies drew (1-1) at Oregon State before a 3-1 home win over Santa Clara. Junior Adam MIckelson has three goals and four assists (10 points) to lead the team while the UC Davis defense allows a 0.71 goals against average through seven matches.

The Wolverines are 4-6-2 all-time against ranked opponents, including 4-3-2 at home.

UP NEXT
