UVU TRAVELS TO PLAY KANSAS CITY ON THURSDAY NIGHT
- After splitting a pair of home games last week, Utah Valley hits the road for a pair of WAC games at Kansas City and Chicago State this week. The Wolverines will take on UMKC on Thursday at 5 p.m. (MST) before playing at Chicago State on Saturday at 1 p.m. (MST).

- Utah Valley's home win streak came to an end on Saturday night in an 83-78 loss to New Mexico State. The Wolverines had won 22 straight games at home before the setback to the Aggies. The streak was the second-longest active home win streak in the country at the time. It is the longest home win streak in school history.

- Jake Toolson scored a game-high 26 points to lead Utah Valley in an 83-76 setback to New Mexico State on Saturday night at the UCCU Center. The loss snapped UVU's 22-game home win streak, which was the second-longest streak in the nation. Toolson scored his game-high 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-4 mark from long range. Ben Nakwaasah cored 13 points on a 5-of-6 clip from the field. The senior guard also pulled down three rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. Wyatt Lowell was also in double figures with 12 points as he connected on a perfect 4-of-4 shots from beyond the arc.

- Jake Toolson tied the UVU record for consecutive free throws made as he successfully made his 41st straight shot from the charity stripe against New Mexico State on Jan. 19. He tied Holton Hunsaker's streak of 41 set during the 2011-12 season. Toolson then missed what would have been his 42nd straight free throw as he finished the NM State game with a 2-of-3 clip at the charity stripe. Toolson leads the WAC with an 88.9 percent mark (56-of-63) from the free throw line this season. He ranks 23rd nationally at the line.

- Jake Toolson leads Utah Valley in scoring at 16.2 points per game, followed closely behind by Conner Toolson at 13.2 points a contest. The Toolson duo has scored nearly 40 percent of UVU's points this season. Jake has been impressive from the floor, shooting 59.5 percent (116-of-195), including a team-best 48.0 percent (36-of-75) clip from three-point range. He also leads UVU with an 88.9 percent (56-of-63) clip from the free throw line. Baylee Steele leads UVU on the boards, pulling down 6.6 rebounds a game, while TJ Washington leads the team in assists at 4.0 a game.

- Utah Valley ranks in the top-50 in five statistical team categories and two individual categories. The Wolverines rank 19th in field goal percentage (48.9), 23rd in three-point field goal percentage (38.7), 30th in free throws made (318), 36th in free throw attempts (440), and 48th in defensive rebounds per game (27.60). Jake Toolson ranks 23rd in free throw percentage (88.9) and 30th in field goal percentage (59.7).

Thursday's game at Kansas City will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network. The game will also be broadcast over the radio waves as Jim McCulloch enters his ninth season as the Voice of the Wolverines.

ABOUT KANSAS CITY
Kansas City enters Thursday night's contest against the Wolverines with a 7-12 overall record and a 2-2 mark in WAC play. The 'Roos dropped a pair of WAC road games last week, falling 74-73 at CSU Bakersfield and a 78-50 setback at Grand Canyon. The team opened the season with wins over Chicago State and California Baptist. Junior guard Xavier Bishop leads the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game. Junior guard Rob Whitfield and sophomore guard Brandon McKissic also average double figures at 11.4 and 11.1 points per game, respectively. Whitfield leads the WAC in threes at 2.7 a game. Sophomore guard Marvin Nesbitt Jr. leads the team on the boards, pulling down 4.6 rebounds a game. As a team, UMKC averages 71.3 points per game while allowing opponents a 75.0 points per game. The team averages 8.1 threes per game
SERIES HISTORY VS. KANSAS CITY
Utah Valley and Kansas City meet up on the basketball hardwood for the 18th time on Saturday night. UVU holds a 10-8 all-time advantage in the series dating back to 2005. The two teams split the two-game WAC series last year with each team winning on its home floor. UVU holds an all-time 3-6 record against the 'Roos in games played in Kansas City.
