UVU TRAVELS TO THE WINDY CITY TO TAKE ON CHICAGO STATE ON SATURDAY
- Utah Valley looks to complete a two-game WAC road sweep on Saturday as the team travels to the Windy City to take on Chicago State. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. (MST). The Wolverines look to finish the road sweep after picking up a 75-67 win at UMKC on Thursday night in Kansas City.

- Jake Toolson finished with a 23-point, 10-rebound double-double as Utah Valley knocked off Kansas City, 75-67, for their first conference road win of the year on Thursday night at the Swinney Recreation Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Utah Valley finished the game shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and outrebounded UMKC 31-24. Toolson led the team in both scoring and rebounds and TJ Washington added a team-high six assists to go along with 11 points. Richard Harward finished the night with a career high 16 points to go along with seven rebounds. Lowell became the first UVU freshman to start a game since Jared Stutzman started against New Mexico State on Jan. 28, 2017.

- Jake Toolson tied the UVU record for consecutive free throws made as he successfully made his 41st straight shot from the charity stripe against New Mexico State on Jan. 19. He tied Holton Hunsaker's streak of 41 set during the 2011-12 season. Toolson then missed what would have been his 42nd straight free throw as he finished the NM State game with a 2-of-3 clip at the charity stripe. Toolson leads the WAC with an 88.9 percent mark (56-of-63) from the free throw line this season. He ranks 23rd nationally at the line.

- Â Jake Toolson leads Utah Valley in scoring at 16.5 points per game, followed closely behind by Conner Toolson at 13.2 points a contest. The Toolson duo has scored nearly 40 percent of UVU's points this season. Jake has been impressive from the floor, shooting 58.7 percent (122-of-208), including a team-best 46.9 percent (38-of-81) clip from three-point range. He also leads UVU with an 88.9 percent (65-of-73) clip from the free throw line. Baylee Steele leads UVU on the boards, pulling down 6.4 rebounds a game, while TJ Washington leads the team in assists at 4.1 a game.

- Utah Valley ranks in the top-50 in four statistical team categories and two individual categories. The Wolverines rank 18th in field goal percentage (49.1), 24th in free throws made (335), 29th in free throw attempts (466), and 35th in three-point field goal percentage (38.0). Jake Toolson ranks 23rd in free throw percentage (88.9) and 34th in field goal percentage (58.9).

Saturday's game at Chicago State will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network. The game will also be broadcast over the radio waves as Jim McCulloch enters his ninth season as the Voice of the Wolverines.

ABOUT CHICAGO STATE
Chicago State enters Saturday's contest against the Wolverines with a 3-17 overall record and a 0-5 mark in WAC play. The Cougars dropped a 75-47 decision to Seattle U at home on Thursday night. The team has now lost nine games in a row. The team's last win was an 84-82 win over Trinity Christian on Dec. 6. Sophomore forward Cameron Bowles led the Cougars with a team-high 15 points in the setback to Seattle. Sophmore guard Travon Belle helped with eight points. The Cougars shot just 28.5 percent from the field in the loss to the Redhawks. Three Cougars average double figure scoring, including senior guard Anthony Harris (14.9), senior guard Rob Shaw (10.9), and junior forward Christian Jacob (10.9). The Cougars are averaging 64.3 points per game while allowing 85.1 points a contest.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CHICAGO STATE
Utah Valley and Chicago State meet up on the basketball hardwood for the 23rd time on Saturday. UVU holds a 17-5 all-time advantage in the series dating back to 2008. Utah Valley swept the season series last season, defeating the Cougars 83-58 in Orem before taking a 97-57 victory in Chicago. UVU holds an all-time 7-4 advantage in games played in the Windy City. Chicago State's last win in the season was a 70-61 victory in Orem on Jan. 12, 2017.
