RIVERSIDE, California - Utah Valley closed the 2019 regular-season competition in Riverside on Saturday afternoon, as the team fell short in a four-set battle to the California Baptist Lancers, 1-3 (25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 20-25).
Kazna Tarawhiti sealed the regular-season as UVU's top front-row hitter, ending the match with another double-digit mark in kills. Tarawhiti posted 21 kills on a strong .425 hitting percentage and added a pair of blocks and seven digs from the back-row.

Jasmine Niutupuivaha also had a day at the net with eight kills and five major blocks against the Lancers.
As a team, UVU out-blocked CBU, 11-9 and posted an impressive .250 hitting average on the day with 51 kills.
Kaili Downs tallied seven kills and a pair of blocks at the net for Utah Valley as well. Altogether, five Wolverines hit for over a .300 average.
UVU closed the regular-season 7-9 in WAC play, 10-18 overall.
The Wolverines will now host their first WAC volleyball tournament, November 21-23 in the Lockhart Arena. UVU is projected as the No. 5 seed heading into post-season conference play and will face UT Rio Grande Valley on November 21 at 6:00pm MT. For more information and bracket info, click
