OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley volleyball team closed the 2019 campaign on Friday night in a final three set contest against the New Mexico State, 3-0 (12-25, 24-26, 21-25).
Kazna Tarawhiti ended the season adding eight more kills to total 415 kills on the season. Tarawhiti averaged a .205 overall hitting percentage, tallied nine double-doubles, grabbed WAC Player of the Week honors three times, bested the conference in kills per set all season long (3.81) and was named to the All-WAC First Team.
Senior
Makaila Jarema concluded the season with seven blocks against New Mexico State to total 126 blocks overall. Jarema also topped the WAC nearly all season long in blocks per set (1.61), was named WAC Player of the Week twice and was honored on the All-WAC Second Team.
Caleigh Vagana made an appearance on the court for the Wolverines, adding four kills on the night and
Bailey Christensen with six.
Megan Childs grabbed five blocks at the net against the strong Aggie offense.
Utah Valley ends the season on an 8-10 WAC record, 12-20 overall record.
