UVU hosts Air Force on Senior Day Saturday at 1 p.m.

UVU WRAPS REGULAR SEASON ON SENIOR DAY SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Looking to wrap up a perfect season at home in WAC play, Utah Valley University will host Air Force on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Senior Day at Clyde Field. A win or draw would give the Wolverines (10-6-1, 5-3-0) the No. 2 seed in next week's WAC Tournament. UVU is currently 5-0-0 at home in WAC play.

It will be the final home game for Aaron Caprio, Alec Felix, Blake Frischknecht, Luis Garza, Mitch Jensen, Luis Vargas, and Jaiden Waggoner. All seven seniors will be honored prior to Saturday's contest.

"I'm always amazed at how fast a collegiate athletic career can come and go. We talk about it and I remind our players often, and in particular our seniors, to cherish every moment they can with each other both on and off of the field," UVU head coach Greg Maas said. "We're looking forward to our Senior Day match with Air Force and next week's WAC tournament. Our seniors' commitment and dedication to UVU men's soccer has been amazing. They've created a legacy for themselves, and each have helped to further establish the excellence we demand of ourselves as a student-athlete here at Utah Valley."

Utah Valley has won two straight coming into Saturday, including a come-from-behind, 3-2, overtime win over Grand Canyon last Saturday. The Wolverines also defeated UNLV, 3-1, last Thursday. Zach Maas scored the game-winner and also had an assist against UNLV, and had the equalizer in the game against Grand Canyon. His performance earned him a spot on TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week.

UP NEXT
UVU will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the WAC Tournament, which begins Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The start time will be determined following Saturday's action.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Air Force (7-9-0, 6-4-0) is in a tie for third with CSU Bakersfield with 18 points and would move up to the No. 2 seed with a win or could drop as low as the No. 5 seed with a loss on Saturday. The Falcons have the WAC's top goal-scorer in Tristan Trager, who recorded back-to-back hat tricks in wins over Grand Canyon and UNLV and was named National Player of the Week by multiple publications. UVU is 3-0-1 all-time against Air Force. The teams did not play last year after weather forced the cancellation of the scheduled contest.
