Casdon Jardine scored a game-high 17 points and
Isaiah White added 16 to lead Utah Valley in a 79-73 setback to Northern Arizona on Saturday night at the UCCU Center.

Utah Valley falls to 4-8 overall on the season, while Northern Arizona improves to 5-2.

Trey Woodbury scored five points in the first five minutes to lead the Wolverines to an 11-4 lead to open the game. Northern Arizona responded by outscoring UVU 13-6 over the next six minutes to take a 17-15 lead with 7:47 to go in the first.
Isaiah White then scored six straight points in just 41 seconds to give the Wolverines a 21-17 lead with seven minutes to go until the break. The Lumberjacks outscored UVU 10-5 the rest of the way to take a 27-26 lead into the break.

The two teams played even through the first five minutes of the second half as NAU held on to a 36-35 lead. UVU and NAU then played through two ties and three lead changes before UVU took its first lead of the half on a Jardine three-pointer that would give the wolverines a 54-53 advantage with 6:20 to play. Jardine then made a driving layup and was fouled to give UVU a 57-53 lead with 5:41 to go. UVU and NAU then played through three more lead changes and a tie as the Lumberjacks held on to a 63-61 lead with three minutes remaining. NAU then outscored UVU 16-12 the rest of the way to hold on to the win.

Jardine scored a game-high 17 points on 5-of-10 shots from the field, including three shots from long range. He also pulled down three rebounds.
Emmanuel Olojakpoke was also in double figures with 12 points. Olojakpoke also tallied six boards and a pair of blocks. Â
White scored his 16 points on four shots from the field and a 7-of-8 mark from the charity stripe. He also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.

Woodbury recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. He scored his 14 points on a 5-of-11 shooting, including a shot from beyond the arc. He also went 2-for-3 at the free throw line.

Chris Bowling led NAU with 16 points.

Utah Valley now heads back out on the road to play Wyoming on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and at Long Beach State on Saturday, Dec. 21. The Wolverines will return home to play Antelope Valley on Saturday, Dec. 28.
