OPENING TIP
Utah Valley University returns home to the UCCU Center to host Utah State University on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT. The game can be seen live on the WAC Digital Network. Saturday's game wraps up the pre-Christmas and in-state schedule for UVU this season. The Wolverines (1-9) are searching for their first win against Utah schools this season.

Eve Braslis is coming off of a career-high 23 points for the Wolverines on Tuesday. She was 10-for-14 from the field en route to the career night. Braslis leads the team at 11.6 points per game. Despite Braslis' effort, the Wolverines fell at Weber State on Tuesday after suffering through an early scoring drought that had them playing from behind the entire night.  

After trailing by 13 early, Utah Valley closed to within four in the second quarter before the Wildcats stretched it to 10 by halftime. It was an eight-point game midway through the third before Weber State pulled away over the final 12-plus minutes of action.

ABOUT THE AGGIES
Utah State hosts Idaho State on Thursday night and enters that contest and 4-7 on the year. The Aggies defeated North Texas, 66-55, on Monday. Lindsey Jensen-Baker is averaging 15.4 points per game to lead three players averaging in double figures. Hailey Bassett averages 13.2 points and a team-high 5.5 rebounds and Steph Gorman is socring 12.5 per contest. Utah State leads the all-time series against UVU, 9-5, and held off the Wolverines, 67-62, last season in Logan. Utah Valley is 4-3 all-time at home against USU.

COMING UP
After a week-long break for Christmas, the Wolverines are back on the court on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 12:30 p.m. MT against Ottawa (Arizona). It's the first game of a women's/men's doubleheader at the UCCU Center that has the UVU men hosting Antelope Valley at 3 p.m. MT.
