Coming off of its best defensive effort of the season, Utah Valley University wraps up non-conference play against Ottawa University Arizona on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. MT in the UCCU Center. Saturday's game, which can be seen live on the WAC Digital Network, is the second of five straight home games for UVU.
The Wolverines (2-9) defeated in-state rival Utah State last Saturday, 57-49, holding the Aggies to an opponent season low in points, field goals made (14) and field goal percentage (29.2%).
Jordan Holland finished with 16 points and nine rebounds for Utah Valley, while
Eve Braslis and
Nehaa Sohail both scored 10.
Madison Grange added eight points off the bench and made back-to-back 3-pointers in the first quarter to help build an early lead for the Wolverines.
Utah Valley held the Aggies without a field goal for over 10 minutes during the first half, with USU shooting just 1-for-14 from the field in the second quarter.Â

Ottawa University Arizona is located in Surprise, Arizona and is a member of NAIA Division I and the Golden State Athletic Conference. Saturday's game is an exhibition contest for the Spirit, who are 6-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. OUAZ also plays at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday and previously lost at Southern Utah and California Baptist in earlier exhibition contests against NCAA DI opponents. Four players average in double figures for the Spirit, with Natasa Radovic leading the team with 15.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.Â
