UVU travels to play Seattle U on Tuesday night

UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY SEATTLE U ON TUESDAY NIGHT
Utah Valley travels to the Emerald City to take on Seattle U on Tuesday night at the Redhawk Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. (MT). Tuesday night's matchup against the Redhawks is one of UVU's final two road games this season.

Baylee Steele recorded a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley to a 79-67 win over Kansas City on Saturday night at the UCCU Center. Steele scored his 15 points on a 6-of-10 clip from the floor and a 3-of-3 mark from the charity stripe. He also dished out one assist and registered a steal. Conner Toolson also scored 15 points, knocking down 6-of-13 shots from the field, including three buckets from long range. He also pulled down five rebounds. Jake Toolson and TJ Washington were also in double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Ben Nakwaasah led the Wolverines with a game-high six assists to go along with seven points.

Utah Valley won a school-record 23 games just a season ago and is now just one win away from a second-straight 20-win season. There have been only five 20-win seasons in UVU's 15-year Division I history.

Conner Toolson knocked down a shot from long range with 14:38 remaining in the second half against Sam Houston State on Dec. 22 to lift his career point total to 1,002 points as he became just the eighth player in UVU history to score 1,000 career points. Toolson scored 18 points on the night to up his career total to 1,007. He is now fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,117 points.

Utah Valley holds one of the top shooting percentages in the country as the Wolverines rank 13th nationally in field-goal percentage with a 49.0 percent clip from the floor. UVU also ranks 16 in the country in three-point field goal percentage at 38.9 percent. Jake Toolson ranks 38th nationally with a 56.8 percent field goal mark.

Jake Toolson leads Utah Valley in scoring at 16.4 points per game, followed by Conner Toolson at 12.6 points a contest. The Toolson duo has scored nearly 40 percent of UVU's points this season. Jake has been impressive from the floor, shooting a team-best 56.8 percent (154-of-271), including a team-best 48.3 percent (56-of-116) clip from three-point range. He also leads UVU with an 85.7 percent (78-of-91) clip from the free throw line. Baylee Steele leads UVU on the boards, pulling down 7.2 rebounds a game, while TJ Washington leads the team in assists at 4.1 a game.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
Tuesday night's game at Seattle U will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network. The game will also be broadcast over the radio waves as Jim McCulloch enters his ninth season as the voice of the Wolverines. Jason Erickson will be handling the color commentary duties on the radio. Seattle U enters Tuesday night's contest against the Wolverines with a 15-12 overall record and a 3-9 mark in WAC play. After dropping four straight, the Redhawks picked up a pair of home wins last week against Kansas City and Chicago State. SU has five players averaging double figures led by redshirt junior forward Myles Carter at 14.0 points per game. He also leads the team on the boards, pulling down 8.0 rebounds a game. As a team, Seattle averages 73.9 points per game while limiting opponents to a 68.6 points per game average.

SERIES HISTORY VS. SEATTLE U
Utah Valley and Seattle U meet up on the basketball hardwood for the 19th time on Saturday. The series is tied 9-9. Utah Valley has won four of the last five meetings, including an 88-78 victory in the two team's last meeting earlier this season on Jan. 12 in Orem. The two teams split the regular season two-game series last season with each team winning on its home floor. Utah Valley holds an all-time 2-6 record against the Redhawks in games played in the Emerald City. The team's last win over Seattle U in Seattle was on Feb. 7, 2015 with the Wolverines taking a 52-51 victory.
