OREM, Utah - The Wolverines launch their final surge of the regular season at home on the Wolverine softball field, beginning with a last WAC opponent series against CSU Bakersfield this weekend, April 26 and 27. Friday's competition will open with a single game against the Roadrunners at 2pm MT. Utah Valley will conclude action on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1pm MT and capped by 3:30pm MT.
UVU competed against the #3 Washington Huskies on Monday of this week and have not seen a WAC competitor since April 20 against Cal Baptist, where the Wolverines came up just short in the series (9-6, 6-3, 3-2).
The Wolverines have met the Roadrunners 33 times overall to account for a 22-11 winning record over CSUB. In conference, Utah Valley has claimed a 14-5 WAC record against Bakersfield and gone 11-3 at home.
Continuining strong numbers at the plate for UVU are centerfielder
Brianna Moeller, rightfielder
Abby Doughty, infielder
Lyndsay Steverson and centerfielder
Skylar Cook. Doughty accounts for a .354 batting average, alongside Moeller at .315, .305 for Steverson and Cook at .283. Steverson also hits a .610 slugging percentage and 36 hits so far this season. Collectively, Doughty and Moeller have 81 hits on the season, Moeller with 41 and Doughty with 40. Moeller also sits at 10 doubles on the season.

Following their final WAC regular-season game, the Wolverines will face a single game against Weber State on April 30, capped by a pair of split games against Utah State, May 4 and 5, before heading into WAC tournament play, May 8-11 in Phoenix, Arizona.
