UTAH VALLEY RETURNS TO CLYDE FIELD TO HOST UTEP, BYU
Utah Valley returns to home this week to play at Clyde Field where the team holds a perfect 2-0-0 record this season. The Wolverines will host UTEP on Saturday, Sept. 14 and crosstown rival BYU on Monday, Sept. 16. Saturday's match will kickoff at 7 p.m., while Monday's game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Wolverines return home from a pair of games on the road last week. The team dropped a 1-0 overtime heartbreaker at San Jose State before falling 5-0 at Santa Clara. It marked the first time this season that the Wolverines have gone scoreless in a single match. UVU now returns home for three-straight games at Clyde Field.
Through six matches this season, Tripp leads the team in goals (3), points (7), and shots (10). She is also tied with Julianna Carter with a team-best eight shots on goal. Jocelyn Bybee and Tripp have UVU's lone assists this year. Carter ranks second on the team with nine shots, including eight on goal. Sadie Brockbank has six shots, including three on frame. Defensively, Allie Jara has logged 400 minutes in goal. Jara leads the team with 18 saves and a .750 save percentage. Saydee Bacdad came into the box in relief of an injured Jara last week and logged nearly 147 minutes with seven saves and a .538 save percentage.
IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Utah Valley ranks 51st nationally and first in the WAC in shot accuracy at .537. UVU keeper Allie Jara holds the highest national individual ranking as she ranks 53rd nationally in saves per game. UVU also ranks 38th in the nation in fouls per game at 6.83 a match.
CLYDE FIELD MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 76-38-11 all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just seven matches over the past five seasons on the home pitch. UVU suffered its first losing record at home in 2018, going 3-4-1. UVU went 5-1-0 in 2017, 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. The Wolverines are a perfect 2-0 at home this season. UVU has consistently ranked in the top-40 nationally in attendance.
ABOUT UTEP
UTEP heads into this week's matches with a 3-1-2 overall record. The Miners have a four-game unbeaten streak after opening the season with a 2-2 tie against Wyoming and a 2-1 loss to ACU. Since then, UTEP has defeated Grand Canyon, tied UTRGV, and defeated both Texas State and Southern Utah. UTEP will travel to play New Mexico State on Thursday before traveling to Orem to play UVU on Saturday. Senior midfielder Danielle Carreon and senior defender Lauren Crenshaw lead the team with two goals apiece. Freshman forward Tessa Carlin leads UTEP with four assists. Defensively, freshman keeper Emily Parrott has logged 509 minutes in goal and is responsible for all three of UTEP's wins. She holds an impressive 0.93 goals allowed per game average.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY VS. UTEP
Utah Valley and UTEP will meet up on the pitch for the 10th time on Saturday night. The Miners hold an all-time 6-3 advantage in the series. Saturday's match marks the first time the two teams have met since the 2015 season with the Miners winning that game, 1-0, in El Paso. The two teams last met in Orem on Sept. 12, 2014 with UVU taking a 2-0 win.

ABOUT BYU
Brigham Young is the 10th-ranked team in the nation, according to the latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 rankings. The Cougars hold the top spot in the United Soccer Coaches West Poll. BYU is a perfect 4-0-0 on the season with wins over Alabama, Mississippi State, Southern Utah, and Utah. The team hosts No. 12 Texas A&M on Thursday before traveling up University Parkway to play Utah Valley on Monday. BYU most recently picked up a 2-0 shutout win over in-state rival Utah at home. Senior forward Elise Flake and junior forward Cameron Tucker recorded the goals in the win over the Utes, while senior keeper Sabrina Davis earned the shutout win in the box. Flake leads the team with four goals and nine points this season. Mikayla Colohan and Ashton Brockbank each have two goals each. Davis has led BYU in the box, allowing only one goal this season through four matches. She has nine saves.
