OPENING TIP
Utah Valley wraps up its five-game homestand on Saturday afternoon against Seattle U at 2 p.m. MT in the UCCU Center. The Wolverines have won four straight and will also finish up three straight home contests to open the WAC season on Saturday.

UVU (5-9, 2-0) began conference play with a pair of wins last week, defeating Chicago State (89-58) and Kansas City (62-41). Maria Carvalho scored a career-high 19 points and Alexis Cortez added 16 in the win over Kansas City. Against Chicago State, Josie Williams led five players in double figures with 17.

The Wolverines' 2-0 start is the second straight season they've started the WAC season well, after going 4-0 to begin league play last year.

During its four game winning streak, Utah Valley has allowed opponents just 49.5 points per game and is holding teams to just 28.9% shooting from the field. Seattle U enters the week as the WAC's top scoring offense at 71.7 points per game while UVU leads the league in scoring defense at 63.4 points allowed per contest.
