OREM—A strong second half performance pushed Kansas City to a 61-51 win over Utah Valley on Thursday night at the UCCU Center in the Wolverines' regular season finale.

Bradley Kitchen,
Brandon Morley,
Emmanuel Olojakpoke, and
TJ Washington in a ceremony prior to tip-off. The four seniors played their final game on the UCCU Center hardwood.

The Wolverines now prep for next week's WAC Tournament in Las Vegas. UVU will play on March 12 against an opponent and time to be determined.

Utah Valley wraps up regular season play with an 11-19 overall record and a 5-10 mark in WAC play. The win pushes UMKC's record to 16-14 overall and 8-7 in league play.

Utah Valley and Kansas City played through nine lead changes and seven ties over the first 15 minutes of the game as the two teams played to a 23-23 tie with five minutes remaining in the first half. Â Kansas City's Jordan Giles then knocked down a three to spark an 11-0 UMKC run to give the Roos a 34-23 lead with 2:35 to go. UVU then outscored Kansas City 5-3 over the final two minutes as the Roos took a 37-28 lead into the break.

Kansas City scored nine of the first 12 points of the second half as the Roos took a 46-31 lead into the first media timeout at the 15:25 mark. Trailing 48-31,
Brandon Morley slammed it home to spark a 10-2 UVU run over a nearly four-minute span to cut the UMKC lead to just nine points, 50-41, with 10 minutes to play. Kansas City then scored 10 unanswered points to push its lead back to 19 points, 60-41, with 4:30 remaining. UMKC then held on to secure the 61-51 win.

Isaiah White led the Wolverines with 13 points on the night.
Jamison Overton was also in double figures with 12 points. White knocked down 4 of 5 shots from the field, including a shot from long range. He also knocked down 4 of 4 free throws.
Brandon Averette helped with eight points, while Washington also scored eight with a game-high seven assists. Morley finished with five points.

Utah Valley's game against Chicago State scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to CSU's travel concerns with the coronavirus. The Wolverines now prep for next week's WAC Tournament at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, March 12-14. UVU's opponent and game time for its first round game on March 12 will be determined on Saturday night.
