HERRIMAN, Utah—In its first full game in 14 months, the Utah Valley women's soccer team returned to the pitch to take a 1-0 shutout exhibition win over in-state rival Weber State on Saturday afternoon at the RSL Zions Bank Indoor Training Center.
Â
"What an awesome feeling to be able to finally play a full match," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Lemay. "It's been a long time and our team was thrilled to get out on the pitch and come away with a shutout win over an in-state team. We are a much better team than what we showed today. We created a lot of opportunities but are capable of so much more. We now have two weeks to learn from the film to improve upon and get ready for our match against Southern Utah."
